Hi there, I'm Jason Brownlee, a writer who adores the eerie, cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft but have struggled to capture his unique style in my own work.
This site was born out of my frustration and a shared solution: copywork.
My Story
Let's be honest—I'm not a great writer. But I love Lovecraft's stories. The way he builds tension, describes the indescribable, and creates a sense of dread has always fascinated me.

Pain of Classical Copywork
Classical copywork requires you to have a copy of the paperback open in front of you and to handwrite each line.
This sucks!
The paperback won't stay open flat. Each story feels too long to complete. I cannot find my favorite passages. I cannot remember where I'm up to without drawing in my book. Also, who handwrites anything anymore. I type!
I needed an easier way.
